When “services” or “APIs” world evolved, the word container was the key to its success. The entire world adopted docker containers. A simple tiny piece of software that “contained” a smallest linux, bare minimum code to isolate the software running inside a container. It was such a simple plug and play for any new service to be run isolated from host machine.
It was fascinating!
Now, I stumbled upon Apple opensource alternative to docker. It is called “container” – how unique and very relevant! I had been using Mac and native applications for decades but never know this existed.

The install was a breeze using “brew” and kicking with “container run”.
